The Puleo Vega 10R: Say Goodbye to Sorting
The Vega R puts a Puleo Vega destemmer and a Roll Selecto roller sorter on one frame. The fruit is destemmed, sorted berry by berry and crushed in a single pass: one machine, a smaller footprint on the crush pad, and one place to collect stems.
- Two sorting sections: fixed rollers separate berries from vegetal waste, then grape-shaped rotating rollers with ribs and notches send leaves, stems and jacks off the end.
- Adjust on the fly: set roller spacing from 14 to 22 mm and roller speed without stopping the line.
- Controls where you work: the panel sits at the discharge end, so the operator sees the whole process.
- Free-run must tray with a filter grid under the first roller section.
- Easy to clean: side panels come off with two levers, and the motor is fully covered.

Partially manufactured in the USA, our destemmer crusher is one of the most dependable and easy-to-use pieces of winemaking equipment on the market. You choose to destem and crush, or just destem, and how much to crush, with an easy adjustment. The basket comes in hole sizes for vinifera, hybrids and Muscadines.
Our Puleo Vega series destemmers are rated in tons per hour. This popular machine boasts some of the lowest noise levels and the broadest range of effectiveness throughout its operating speeds. The stand is included and fully adjustable to work over half-ton bins, 1-ton bins, and our must pump. You can also skip the must pump and destem onto a sorting table (then through crush rollers?) or into a bin for small-lot fermentation.
Why the Frequency Drive Matters
Our speed control is a frequency drive. Our machine does not rely on a knob with a pulley and a belt to control speed, a setup that wears out. A frequency controller does not endure physical wear, and our electronics let you find the perfect throughput speed from zero to maximum in any size destemmer we sell. Our crush rollers are easily adjusted or taken out of service in seconds.

The size is full-capacity throughput. You can still run 1 or 2 tons an hour through a 10-ton destemmer. Speed is adjusted for berry size, cluster tightness, ripeness or rot, and how much jack or stem material you see. Rate of feeding matters more than capacity, which is why a receiving hopper pays off.
Easy to Clean
The spray ball inside the Vega series makes cleaning a breeze, and a CIP-equipped destemmer makes days shorter during harvest. The basket is 100% hand ground and electroplated for a gentler process and easier cleaning, and it comes out easily.
