Receiving Hoppers & Incline Conveyors

A constant, regulated flow of grapes into your destemmer gives you about 90% of the result of sorting. Choose the Carlsen 6' horizontal receiving hopper, which takes half-ton bins on the fly, or the American-made Carlsen incline belt conveyor, the last word in gentle mechanical movement of grapes. Or use both: the hopper to receive, and the incline belt to lift fruit from a sorting table or destemmer to the press or fermentor.

Destemmer Crushers

Puleo Vega series destemmers, rated from 1 to 80 tons per hour. Destem, crush, or both, with speed set by a frequency drive instead of a pulley and knob that wears out. The Vega R destems, crushes and sorts in one step. Crush rollers adjust or come out of service in seconds.

Sorting Tables

Carlsen vibratory sorting tables for whole-cluster, pre-destemming or post-destemming sorting. Mount crush rollers after the sorter and drop straight into bins, TranStore tanks, or a must pump to a large fermentor.

When you've outgrown destemming straight into bins, it's time to pump must. The American-made Carlsen must sump hooks directly to your Waukesha "Do-All" pump, the gentlest and strongest pump in the winery. The sump receives the must; the Waukesha does the pumping. No expensive one-trick pony sitting around all year.
