US Amedee Oak Chips
If you have acidity issues, lack of structure, green or vegetal character, you need oak chips!
We have two types of Oak Chips for you:
Some examples on Chardonnay:
General Dosing Guidelines* :
200 - 500 gr/hl for red wines
50 - 200 gr/hl for white or rosé wines
Time of contact :
5 days to 1 month during AF
1 to 2 months during MF or maturation 5 to 7 days during maturation for the untoasted
Packaging :
Nets of 10 kg
Big Bags of 300 kg

- French Oak 24-36 months aged (Quercus petrae l. / Quercus robur l.)
- American Oak 12-24 months (Quercus alba)

- Strong Acidity: 100g/HL of Vanilla (French Med Toast Chips)
- Lack of Acidity: 200g/HL of Fruit (Light Toast French) or Medium Toast American Chips
- Green or Vegetal: 200g/HL of Fresh (Untoasted French Chips)
