Winery Help Wanted in Ohio

Firelands Winery, originally Mantey Vineyards, is one of Ohio’s oldest wineries still in operation.  Currently we are looking for a full-time cellar worker and a seasonal intern.
We are looking for a person who is very mechanically inclined.
A problem solver
Ability to manage time and handle multiple projects
Working knowledge of pumps, presses, filtration is a plus
Meticulous attention to detail
Willingness to continually learn
Must be able to follow and execute all verbal and written work orders given by the winemaker
Able to measure and do basic calculations
Sanitation, Sanitation, Sanitation
Able to work long hours 6 days a week during the harvest season
Must be able to lift and carry 55 pounds
Knowledge of fermentation a plus
Must be able to squat, bend, twist, crawl, lift and climb safely
Must be ok with heights
Must be able to work in all different environmental conditions
Excellent communication skills
Follow all safety precautions and protocols
Team player but also able to execute task independently as directed
Assist in the vineyards as needed
Knowledge of wine and an aptitude for sensory evaluation a plus
Forklift certified a plus
