New World Winery
Equipment is the EXCLUSIVE agency in the East authorized by the
factory to fit, dispense, and service Ramondin, USA tin capsule
clients. We offer stock or custom capsules in eleven colors and
several sizes.
"There is no other way that I can spend nine cents
more and be able to charge a dollar more for my wine", says
a rather successful friend of ours in Indiana. The gracious and kind
people from Ramondin in Spain could not have said it better
themselves.
If you love your wine,
you should really consider the improved look, feel, and the
experience during the ceremony of opening your wine that the
consumer has with a tin capsule. Not to mention the way a perfect,
seamless capsule flatters the label.
Speaking of the label: The capsule is to the label as the
frame is to the picture. Would you put a piece of fine art in a
plastic frame? Labels are art. They are the identity of the product
and your winery. And they deserve a nice frame.
Ramondin has perfected
the 100% tin capsule to the point that it really feels like lead.
But it is safer than any other capsule for the Earth. Tin is a
"green" metal. (non- toxic to the environment). And your capsules
will have water based finishes. Ever wonder how many years in a
landfill that PVC cap will take to go away? The same could be asked
of the aluminum and plastic sandwich (Poly- Lam) type of cap (The
one with the seam that seems to always face
front).
Ramondin's
environmental consciousness goes beyond that of most manufacturers
their size. We re- use the boxes and the trays that the
capsules come in The water the factory puts back in the river in
Spain is cleaner than when it came out. And we can only guess how
much petroleum is used to make a plastic heat- shrink capsule or a
poly lam capsule.
Tin capsules are
available either stock or custom. While we are happy to have you use
stock capsules, the case can be made for custom tin capsules by
simply thinking of how much time and effort goes into establishing a
brand. Your logo on the top of that capsule is but one way to
reinforce your identity. If you consider that as part of the
advertising budget; it's cheap. As the bottle lays on its side,
ready for sale at a restaurant, or for consumption at home, it
does not have to be slid out time and time again to reveal its
identity. This reduces wear on the package and preserves your
label.
So how does it work? We
want to measure your bottles. If we don't have it, we will get one
from you or the bottle maker. Size recommendations follow the
initial review of what you expect to have on your
capsule.
After the initial
review, if you want stock tin capsules, we send samples of colors to
choose from. We stock almost every size and a surprising amount of
colors of our "off the shelf" caps. If you want custom tin capsules,
we discuss the background color, the type, and the elements of the
artwork on the capsules. Incidentally, it is important for you to
know that we charge nothing for art work, dies or set- up on custom
capsule orders. We do ask for a little extra time to get your
FIRST custom capsule order to be perfect. But after that, reorders
are pretty painless.
We sell spinners and
vastly improved rollers and bands to our customers to help your
bottling work better at speed with tin than the same line does with
an aluminum sandwich capsule. So what are you saving by not going
with tin? Not time, not the environment, and not the $ 1.08 to $
1.49 more a case that it takes to make your package out- class
the competition. That consumer takes about fifteen seconds to pull
the bottle off the wine store shelf once they locate the type
of wine they are looking for. We would prefer a straight,
seamless, undistorted capsule on the top of the bottle during that
moment. Wouldn't you?

or custom caps. Or please consult New World Winery Equipment on how
to save money with strategic glass ordering so that you can
spend it on capsules and labels; And sell more
wine!
Custom Tin
Capsules:

We Do Champagne and Sparkling
Wine Foils, Too!
HOW TO ORDER CUSTOM TIN
CAPSULES:
1. We need bottles to size
from.
This step is needed to make sure
that we are quoting you the correct amount of tin per capsule.
Capsules are sized by diameter, length, and thickness. Certain
bottles may have unique qualities or characteristics that make them
more difficult to fit a "traditional capsule on. Though this is not
often the case, it is cheap insurance to start with a sample bottle
and make sure.
2. We need your art
work.
We do not charge any die or setup
or artwork fees to make your custom capsules. On the first order, we
do need time and patience to get it right. We have been doing this
since 1890 and when we push the start button on our machine, it
makes the best capsule in the world. But we need to make it
right.
3. We need a background color
sample.
Have you ordered labels twice
yet? Have you gotten different tones of the same color? This is why
we want a physical sample of the color of the background of your
capsule. we want it to match exactly. Send anything. We will match
it.
