Here is the view of the screw sump from above. Even the cat likes this piece (see the prints?).The seamless weld and flight edging keep things smooth inside this sump as the fruit falls out of the destemmer and is presented to the self- priming Waukesha 130 "Do- All" Must Pump. The bottom of this sump is tight enough to the screw that you have to turn it on to get water out of it.
